Epic Aircraft Llc - The Epic LT is an American kit single-engine turboprop aircraft designed for private pilot use. The Epic Dynasty was a certified version of the LTT that was to be sold as a complete aircraft until Epic Aircraft went bankrupt in August 2009 and was acquired by new owners in April 2010.

Owned by the redesigned company, the certified version is to be called the E1000, with first deliveries originally scheduled for 2015, but delayed until 2019.

The LT was developed by Epic Air LLC in Biddy, Oregon, to meet the need for a complete high-performance single turboprop six-seat private jet. Low-wing layouts are concentrated to a single point. The bike is fully refundable. Its construction uses composites that include carbon fiber. Gene is a Pratt & Whitney PT6-67A turboprop rated at 1,200 horsepower.

Epic Aircraft Completes Delivery Of First Two E1000 Planes

The Dynasty prototype, LT Ep 14, completed more than 1,000 flight test hours on October 23, 2006, but certification was not completed until June 2009, when the company completed more than 2,000 test hours.

Testing of the prototype, registered C-FJRQ, initially began in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but the aircraft was withdrawn from the Canadian registry on 2 March 2007. Moved to Biddy, Oregon and re-registered as N6XK. .

Sales ceased in 2012, replaced by the E1000-certified Epic, and the 54th and final set received its airworthiness certificate in December 2018, before being delivered to its owner in early 2019.

Initially, LT aircraft kits were completed by amateur builders at the Bd factory under factory supervision, but later some examples were assembled in the field with help from Epic Aircraft.

On July 7, 2016, six aircraft from the Epic LT suite took off on a global circumnavigation flight flown by owner-pilots. Take off from AirVture 2016 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

On March 31, 2019, the Epic LT, registration RA-2151G, crashed in a field at 3:30 a.m. on approach to Frankfurt-Egglesbach Airport in southwest Germany. One of the richest women in Russia, Natalia Failova, the owner of the Russian airline S7, her father and the pilot died in the crash.
